TRANQUIL
Tranquil is a luxury artifact for houses which aim to instill a calm state of mind with the different reflections on the brushed metal frame.
Solving the problem.
The idea started with the aim to introduce a calm environment after a stressful day of work.
To relax and unwind with something which makes them forget about the pressure of reality just for a brief time being.
The purpose was to create a soothing atmosphere with keeping the modern-day aesthetics in mind.
It is a humble approach to make the daily day modern lives more interesting
The environment
The adjusting abilities of the common sea creature- JELLYFISH.
It is important to allow natural forces to lead through the journey of life.
It aims to evoke a feeling of warmth which may help distract one from the stark reality.
Design intent
Brushed Black anodized aluminium was used for this product. The aluminium allows the light to reflect on different structures and curves creating different shadows along with the metal. It also acts as the structural support for the light.
The curved pipe-like structure of the tentacles makes a passageway for light to travel in different angles.
The black material gives it a sleek look to go with the modern contemporary household.
12V led amber washed lights were used to create a soothing effect on the eyes, keeping it to a light soft colour.

Making Process
The production started with 3D printing the whole model into 21 pieces.
The pieces were covered with polymer putty and made smooth.
It was further attached together and then spray painted the model.
LED lights were then attached to the model.
